The doors to some of Niagara-on-the-Lakes most iconic buildings will be open to the public this weekend as part of a provincewide series promoting heritage tourism.

Doors Open Niagara-on-the-Lake features more than a dozen sites — some rarely accessible to the public and others that typically charge an admission fee.

Saturday’s event is the last of this year’s Doors Open Ontario series organized by Ontario Heritage Trust. The series got underway at the end of April in Guelph and highlighted heritage assets in 31 communities across the province.

Whitby is also holding its Doors Open event on Saturday.
