Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police has recommended the cancellation of registration certificates (RCs) of 258 vehicles involved in habitual traffic violations.

In a press note, the Commissionerate Police said that a formal request has been sent by it to the State Transport Authority (STA) for the cancellation of RCs and fitness certificates of the vehicles concerned. ADVERTISEMENT

The move comes after it was observed that several vehicle owners repeatedly flout traffic rules and fail to pay fines imposed for their violations.
