When Chip Lindsey took over as the Michigan football offensive coordinator this past offseason, he vowed to bring explosion back to an attack that was sorely lacking big play ability in 2024.

In that regard, at the mid-way point of the 2025 season, the offense has lived up to the billing. Through six games the Wolverines have 68 "big plays" defined by some as rushes of 10 yards or more and passes of 15 yards or more. The break down on such plays is 38 on the ground and 30 in the air, a good sense of the balance many envisioned Lindsey would bring when he joined U-M after his most recent stop at North Carolina.
