Take his recent article in this newspaper , providing a thoughtful counter-argument to the proposal to extend the Ion light rail system to Cambridge, and suggesting the city would not be better off for the changes this would bring.

Cambridge residents, and their leaders, are better off for having all the points of view thoroughly explored, so they can have all the tools to make a solid decision.

But there’s another side to Cooper, which produces actions that are hurtful and insensitive to the people he serves.
