Singapore police will meet an Assam Police team led by Special Investigating Team (SIT) chief and Additional Director General of Police Munna Gupta on October 21 as part of the probe into the death of Indian singer Zubeen Garg, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Thursday.

Sarma said the government was committed to ensuring justice in the case.

“Another step forward towards justice for our beloved Zubeen. The Singapore Police authorities will meet the Assam Police team led by Sri Munna Gupta, ADGP and Head of SIT, on 21st October. Our collective resolve remains — Justice for Zubeen will prevail,” he wrote on X.

On Wednesday, Singapore’s Acting High Commissioner Alice Cheng met the Assam Chief Minister and expressed condolences on Garg’s death.
