ESCANABA — The Escanaba Eskymos travel below thew bridge this Friday night to take on the Alpena Wildcats,

The Eskymos come into this game off a 34-30 loss to Gaylord on homecoming last week, while Alpena comes in off a 41-0 homecoming win over Sault Ste Marie.

The Eskymos won last season’s contest 47-0 and Escanaba has won eight of the last 10 matchups.

The Eskymos continue their push to the playoffs behind senior quarterback Nolan Bink, junior running back Brody Ison and a very physical defense.

The Eskymos should also have a big advantage in the special teams phase as the Eskymos have had two punt return touchdowns from Bryce Bichler and a kick return TD by senior Ben Sands. The Eskymos kick coverage unit also is playing at a high level having not given up a return TD so far this se
