The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted on Thursday the formation of another low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal, around October 24. According to the forecast, the system is likely to move in a west-northwest direction and may intensify further as it progresses.

Odisha is once again likely to receive rainfall under the impact of the low-pressure system. Weather officials are closely monitoring the development, which could potentially influence weather conditions over parts of eastern India, including Odisha and West Bengal, in the coming days.
