An investigation is underway after a man was struck in the head with an axe.
The victim was treated for a serious injuries by paramedics near Grange Farm Drive, Kings Norton, at around 4.50pm yesterday, Wednesday, October 15, before he was taken to hospital.
West Midlands Police cordoned off the road and arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of wounding with intent.

The casualty's injuries were not said to be life-threatening. Officers were conducting door-to-door enquiries and collecting CCTV.
