Approval has been given by planning chiefs for 100 new homes in a rural Kent parish. The developer said it would begin building the estate on the edge of the village of Hoo St Werburgh this "winter".
The site is nine acres to the south of Stoke Road in the village usually called simply Hoo. Seventy-five of the homes will be sold on the open market, and there will be 25 affordable homes, with 15 for low-cost rent and 10 for shared ownership.
The homes will have two, three and four bedrooms and are expected to go on sale next summer, with residents moving in from early 2027. Planning papers say this about access: "Access to the site will be achieved via a new priority junction with Stoke Road.
