WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A burglary at a remote cabin led to the arrest of a man from Wayne County.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was notified about the burglary on Oct. 10.

The cabin owner had multiple security cameras recording at the time, and these recordings were used in the investigation.

A deputy from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was able to locate two suspects based on the footage.

When deputies arrived at the home of one of the suspects, they discovered several items in plain view that were believed to be stolen from the cabin.

After questioning the suspect, he admitted to the burglary and revealed the identity of the second suspect, along with the location of the other stolen items.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are anticipated.
