PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Cooler and cloudier conditions return to the Pacific Northwest as a wet weekend forecast begins to take shape.

Thursday morning sunshine will quickly fade to mostly cloudy skies. It's the increase in cloud coverage that will keep Willamette Valley temperatures in the low 60s on Thursday afternoon.

Portland's rain potential increases slightly Friday morning with a few light and brief rain showers possible. Little to no rain accumulation is likely but drivers may notice some damp conditions across the morning commute.

Saturday will start off mostly dry with some sunshine. Dry and mild conditions are expected for those going to pumpkin patches or corn mazes. The chances for rain showers ramps up after sunset on Saturday.
