A man from Tamworth has been charged with killing a woman, controlling and coercive behaviour, attacking her and similar incidents involving other women.

Daniel Birtwistle, aged 39 from Lichfield Street in the town, has been charged with manslaughter following the death of Georgina Ward, 24

Ms Ward was found at her home in Brierley Hill, Dudley , on November 24, 2020.

Birtwistle has also been charged two counts of controlling and coercive behaviour and three counts of assault involving Ms Ward.

He faces six further counts of assault and one of controlling and coercive behaviour in relation to another three women.

Birtwistle was set to appear at Dudley Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday
