Scotland's food and drink sector is famed around the world for producing goods including whisky, salmon, and shortbread, but perhaps on a more local level, also for treats such as Bovril, sausage rolls, and macaroni pies. ‌

And now, a beloved Scottish bakery known for those macaroni pies, as well as fudge doughnuts and chicken salad rolls, is set to open a new store in an up-and-coming part of what is now considered the west end of Glasgow. ‌

Bayne's, 'the family bakers', has been granted permission for a new shop in Anniesland, situated in the middle of the West End and Knightswood. Broomhill, Bearsden, and Milngavie are all nearby as well. ‌

Once home to RS McColl, 1612 Great Western Road will now be transformed into a Bayne's, according to Glasgo
