The Port of Vancouver’s new Terminal 1 dock project is inching closer to completion, paving the way for a new public market along Vancouver’s waterfront.

The port began installing nearly 200 steel pilings at Terminal 1, just downstream from the Interstate 5 Bridge, earlier this month.

Crews removed the last piling from Terminal 1’s century-old dock in early 2024 , then rebuilt the bulkhead where the dock meets the shoreline. Tags Construction Port of Vancouver West Vancouver
