Continuing its relentless drive against corruption in the state, the Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) arrested a deed writer, Deepak Kumar, working in the tehsil complex of Pathankot, red-handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000.
An official spokesperson for the state VB disclosed that the accused was arrested following a complaint from a resident of Bungol village in Pathankot district.
The spokesperson stated that the complainant approached the bureau alleging that after purchasing land, he had met the accused to get the property registered.
