A “luxury” bus in Jaisalmer turned into a death trap, claiming over 20 lives in a horrific fire. What appeared to be an accident was, in reality, a man-made tragedy. Investigations by India Today reveal that the bus had been illegally modified into an AC sleeper coach just days before the incident — with no emergency exit, no safety inspection, and no RTO approval. At a workshop in Jaipur, wiring and AC fittings were being done by untrained workers with no technical certification or oversight.
