LONG ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) – A Wading River School teacher is not allowed on campus after making “disturbing remarks” on a livestream, according to school officials.
The teacher, who has not been identified, was removed from the classroom, Superintendent Gerard Poole said in a letter to the parents on Wednesday. The issue has been reported to the police, Poole said.
“A teacher at Wading River School has been caught on a live streamed platform sharing disturbing remarks,” Poole said. “The individual has been removed from the classroom and will not be permitted on school grounds pending the outcome of the investigation.”
The Suffolk County Police Department said it is investigating an employee of the district, but did not specify the reason.
