AVON, Ohio (WOIO) - A shopping plaza on Center Road is being evacuated as a precaution due to a chemical incident at a nearby waste facility.

Avon police said the plaza is located in the 1400 block of Center Rd.

Lowe’s, JC Penny, Petco, and Arby’s are a few of the businesses in that plaza.

According to police, an incident at Reworld Waste started around 9 a.m.

Reworld is located at 35850 Schneider Ct, that handles various waste management services, including waste transportation, disposal, and hazardous waste treatment.
