Selena Gomez was “sobbing” and fearing for the worst after marrying Benny Blanco last month.
The “Calm Down” singer addressed her relationship anxieties while speaking at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women conference in Washington, DC, Wednesday night.
“This is how I work personally, but [when] something great happens in my life, I expect something bad to happen,” she told the audience.
Gomez, 33, admitted that her mind always goes to the worst possible scenario — even when something positive happens.
“So instead of being present and saying, ‘OK, wow, we’ve done a great thing,’ which I do, I’m always thinking, ‘OK, but this could all go away tomorrow, so how can I make sure that doesn’t happen?'” she said.
