The Bay State’s Secretary of Transportation is stepping down and will be replaced on an interim basis by the General Manager of the MBTA, Phil Eng, according to the governor’s office.
Gov. Maura Healey’s office made the announcement on Thursday. The replacement will have immediate effect, but now-former Transportation Secretary Monica Tibbits-Nutt will stay on until the end of the year in an advisory capacity.
