5MATTAPAN, MA — Detectives from the Civil Rights Unit have charged five individuals in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred at 550 River Street. The suspects have been formally charged and arraigned in Dorchester District Court.

Franklin Francois, 51, from Randolph, faces charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Woopenson Morisset, 30, from Boston, is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury.

Gardy Exantus, 33, from Mattapan, is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, as well as assault and battery. Maurice Payne, 37, from Brockton, also faces charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon cau
