BOSTON —

The trial for an Irish firefighter accused of raping a woman at a Boston hotel during last year's St. Patrick's Day weekend gets underway Thursday.

Terence Crosbie, 39, a member of the Dublin Fire Brigade, is charged with raping a woman at the Omni Parker House while in Boston for the St. Patrick's Day parade.

Opening statements are expected Thursday afternoon.

A 28-year-old woman told police she was sexually assaulted at the hotel on March 15, 2024. According to prosecutors, detectives obtained video surveillance from the hotel and from The Black Rose, a bar and restaurant, where both Crosbie and the woman were on March 14.
