GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Our friends from Sylvan Heights Bird Park have a special spooky event planned this Halloween!

Kat Lewandowski, an assistant educator at the bird park, and a one-week-old Black-bellied Whistling Duck stopped by our studio this morning to talk about this year’s Trick-or-Tweet event.

Native to Central and South America, the Black-bellied Whistling Duck nests in tree cavities and can have upwards of ten to twelve in a single clutch, with both parents caring for them.

Sylvan Heights is bringing back its Trick-or-Tweet event on Friday, October 31st, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Costumed characters will be around the park handing out candy to trick-or-treaters.
