A New York man made the purchase of a lifetime, winning a $1,000,000 second prize in the New York Lottery’s Mega Millions game, lottery officials announced.

Patrick Therrien, of Cortlandt Manor in Westchester County, claimed the prize after matching the first five numbers in the Nov. 15, 2024 Mega Millions drawing. He opted to receive a one-time lump sum payment totaling $651,000, after required withholdings, according to officials.

The winning ticket was purchased at Stop & Shop, located at 1831 East Main St. in Peekskill. Peekskill is about 40 miles north of Manhattan.

The winning numbers for that drawing were: 05, 17, 35, 55, 69 and Mega Ball 19.
