YOUNGSTOWN Nearly a dozen Youngstown Police Officers were called out early Thursday after a man was reported trying to break into a Southside pawn shop using a sledgehammer.
A police report says 11 officers responded to the Internet Palace/Cash America building at 1100 E. Midlothian Boulevard at around 1 a.m.
A caller reported someone attempting to smash into the back of the business using a sledgehammer.
One Officer spotted a suspect, dressed in black, running eastbound from the business with something in his hands. The officer chased the suspect on foot behind the businesses, down a wooded path behind a nearby building.
