DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — The Children's Museum of Illinois is partnering with Millikin University to bring chemistry to kids with a pair of programs Saturday.

ChemGirls and ChemKids are two programs designed to connect kids in 5th-8th grade with chemistry in a fun way. Both offer two one-day camps where kids experiment with colors, dyes and "unconventional materials" in the classroom.

The final session for both programs is set for Saturday, October 18. They will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Millikin's Leighty-Tabor Science Center, and will focus on natural and man-made compounds used for tie dye and henna tattoos.
