AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A second suspect in a shooting that injured a man in Augusta has been arrested, according to officials.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says Dominique Ellis was arrested on Thursday morning.

He’s charged with aggravated assault in connection to a shooting that happened in broad daylight .

22-year-old man arrested, accused of impersonating an officer

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a North Augusta man accused of impersonating a police officer and false imprisonment, according to officials.

The shooting happened on Oct. 3 around 9:30 a.m. at Curry Street and Browns Lane behind a Family Dollar that faces Broad Street.

Deputies said the victim was approached by a vehicle, and the victim was shot. Then the vehicle left the scene.
