New Delhi: Vantor, formerly known as Maxar Intelligence has captured the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar Satellite in space, in centimeter-level clarity. The image was captured after the satellite deployed its 12-metre-wide radar reflector antenna in August. This antenna was stowed away in the rocket for the flight, and is the largest reflector antenna of its type to be deployed in space. Vantor’s Worldview Space is a Non Earth Imaging (NEI) service. While most satellites look down at the Earth, or at celestial and astronomical objects, satellites with NEI capabilities can observe and image other satellites in space.
