Mike Johnson Admits He Has ‘No Idea’ How to End Government Shutdown

House Speaker Mike Johnson made the blunt admission Thursday that he had “no idea” how to end the government shutdown as he railed against Democrats engaging in ‘political theater” while “real people suffer.”
On the 16th day of the shutdown, Johnson and the House Republican leadership held a press conference in the Rayburn Room of the U.S. Capitol as he admitted the deadlock remained absolute.
Johnson began: “Today marks another day of American families feeling the personal and economic strain of this reckless decision that our Democrat colleagues keep making. They want the United States government to remain closed. They seem not to care about the pain that it is causing.
