OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The person charged in connection to the shooting at Omaha Northwest High School in September of 2024 has changed his plea.
Ramone Jefferson , 15, has changed his plea to “no contest” to the charges of 2nd degree assault and possession of a firearm.
The initial charge of 1st degree assault was lowered to 2nd degree and the charge of use of a firearm to commit a felony was lowered to possession of a firearm to commit a felony.

A charge of unlawful possession of firearm/school grounds was also dismissed.
Jefferson’s sentencing is scheduled for December 18.
