Remember when Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia and held a press conference at the airport?
They said they wanted to shine a light on what the governor called “irresponsible uses of taxpayer funds” by cities and counties around the state.
That Oct. 1 event — held near a hologram-like video of Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan and, as Ingoglia pointed to it, Jaguars Hall of Famer Tony Boselli — got a lot of attention, with a press release citing examples of "wasteful spending" by Jacksonville, Pensacola, Gainesville and Alachua, Orange, Hillsborough, Pinellas and Broward counties.
