HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. — Police are investigating after an overnight crash involving a Fortville police officer that sent two people, including the officer, to the hospital early Thursday morning.

Around 12:30 a.m. Oct. 16, McCordsville Police Department officers responded to the crash in the 5500 block of State Road 67 , near McCordsville Sports Park and just outside McCordsville town limits.

The responding officers found the Fortville officer outside of his car. Both the officer and driver of the other car were taken to local hospitals, McCordsville PD said. No additional information on their conditions was provided.
