MANHATTAN, Kan. (KCTV) - Incoming Kansas State guard PJ Haggerty was named to the All-Big 12 Preseason Team on Thursday.

The Big 12 announced its preseason honors and released its coaches poll for the 2025-26 season, which included the Wildcats in the middle of the pack.

K-State was picked to finish ninth out of the 16 teams in the league, receiving three points fewer than eighth-place Cincinnati.

Haggerty, who transferred from Memphis this offseason, was one of 10 players named to the league’s preseason team. He’s one of three newcomers to the league that made the team, along with Kansas freshman Darryn Peterson and BYU freshman AJ Dybantsa.

Despite this, Haggerty was not named the Preseason Newcomer of the Year, with that honor instead going to Texas Tech transfer LeJuan Watts.
