Shawn Lee Jr. has already made a major impact as a true freshman at Pitt, stepping into Oakland and immediately earning a starting job at cornerback.

But the transition from Harrisburg High School quarterback to starting ACC defensive back has gone even better than most could’ve expected, and according to one statistics, it has gone better than, perhaps, any player in the country.

Fewest yards allowed per snap in coverage (FBS CBs, min. 100 cov. snaps):

Shawn Lee Jr., Pitt: 0.21 yards

Avery Smith, Toledo: 0.23

Dexter Ricks Jr., Liberty: 0.24

Brandon Finney Jr., Oregon: 0.26

Ceyair Wright, Nebraska: 0.27

Jontez Williams, Iowa State: 0.29
