SUNBURY, Pa. — Here at the Central Susquehanna Opportunities Sunbury office, workers are preparing to give coats away to kids as part of the non-profit's winter coat giveaway.

"The coat giveaway is something that we've done for quite a few years now. We call it Keep Our Kids Warm. It is a program that provides in Northumberland, Columbia, and Montour counties with a new winter coat," said Stacie Snyder, Central Susquehanna Opportunities Community Action Self-Sufficiency Administrator.

The winter coats were donated by Capital Power Hummel Station as well as Triumph, an organization within SCI Coal Township. Central Susquehanna Opportunities is anticipating giving out close to 300 coats. Snyder says the need is great in Central Pennsylvania.
