UNIONTOWN, Pa. —

The death of a 44-year-old Fayette County woman is under investigation after a home was found in 'deplorable' condition.

The Fayette County Coroner's Office was called to a home on North Gallatin Avenue in Uniontown around 8:57 a.m. on Thursday. Advertisement

According to officials, Elizabeth Fike's death is under investigation because of the home's "deplorable conditions and severity of neglect in care."

The cause and manner of death are pending autopsy results.
