DULUTH — Brothers Zam and Max Plante have been penalty killers for most of their hockey careers, even in high school as Hermantown Hawks.
So how much killing did they do a year ago as freshmen at Minnesota Duluth?
“Not a ton, not enough,” said Max Plante, who doesn’t have to worry about watching opposing power plays from the bench this season.
Zam and Max are now two of the first Bulldogs over the boards when it comes time to kill penalties, which UMD has been forced to do more than it would prefer through the first four games of 2025-26.
