President Donald Trump is set to announce a new effort to decrease the cost of in vitro fertilization and other fertility care measures on Thursday, following through on a campaign promise to help make the procedure affordable for families struggling with infertility.

The White House is expected to unveil a plan for increasing insurance coverage of fertility care and a separate measure for lowering drug prices for hormone-stimulating medications necessary for each IVF cycle, multiple outlets have reported.
