LOS ANGELES, California — Kevin Federline is pulling back the curtain on his tumultuous marriage to Britney Spears in a new memoir that’s already ignited a firestorm, Variety reported .

In “You Thought You Knew,” set for release Tuesday, Oct. 21, the former backup dancer accuses Spears of troubling behavior during and after their relationship, which ended nearly two decades ago, Variety said.

According to The Cut , Federline claims Spears’ erratic actions left their sons fearful of visiting her home as teens, citing an incident where they apparently woke up to find her standing silently in their doorway holding a knife. He writes that the situation feels “racing toward something irreversible,” warning that their children could be “left holding the pieces” if things don’t change.
