The Detroit Pistons announced Thursday, Oct. 16, that guard Jaden Ivey will miss the season opener and will be out at least the next four weeks after undergoing surgery on his right knee.
"Pistons guard Jaden Ivey underwent an arthroscopic procedure earlier today to relieve right knee discomfort. The procedure and discomfort are unrelated to the fibula injury suffered last season. Ivey will begin the rehabilitation process immediately and will be re-evaluated in four weeks."
The fourth-year guard missed their second and third preseason games with what J.B. Bickerstaff characterized as "discomfort" after playing just under 14 minutes in their opener, a 128-112 road win over the Memphis Grizzlies . Ivey is nine months removed from a broken left fibula suffered on New Year's Day. WHO'S
