SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (WMC) - The Mississippi Supreme Court denied death row inmate Martez Abram’s request for a rehearing.
Martez Abram was sentenced to death after a jury found him guilty of two counts of capital murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.
His charges were linked to the killing of two people at the Walmart Supercenter in Southaven in 2019.
The shooting left 40-year-old Anthony Brown and 38-year-old Brandon Gales dead.
Abram’s appeal argued that evidence was mishandled by the previous court and that the death sentence should be overturned.
