SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — The Illinois Head Start Association is hosting a birthday party celebrating 60 years in October.
Head Start helps kids aged 0-5 with school readiness. The event is part of a statewide initiative connecting Head Start and Early Head Start programs with children's museums across Illinois.
The party will be at the Kidzeum of Health and Science from 12-2 p.m. on October 26.
Children and their families enrolled in head start programs, as well as staff, will get free admission to the museum.
