Former Denver Broncos safety Caden Sterns has announced his retirement from the NFL, having been away from the field since 2023.

Sterns, just 25, took to Instagram this Thursday to reveal he isn’t going to be pursuing his football dream anymore, with injuries forcing him to call curtains on what could have been a productive career, given his stats.

The former Texas star was drafted in the fifth round in 2021 and spent the first three years of his career in Denver. He made 15 appearances in his rookie season but missed 12 games the following year, playing just once in 2023.

He suffered a torn patellar tendon in Week 1 of the 2023 season and wouldn’t get back on the field.
