Federal officials will withhold more than $40 million in funding for California as officials allege the state has failed to comply with English language proficiency requirements for truckers.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy made the announcement Thursday, Oct. 16, stating that an investigation found California was the only state in the nation refusing to comply with the policy.
