FOXBOROUGH - Six games into the season, and rookie receiver Kyle Williams still hasn’t been able to unseat anyone for more playing time, or show why he was good enough to be taken in the third round by the Patriots.

Williams has gotten on the field. He just hasn’t been able to make many plays.

On the season, he’s caught two passes while targeted four times for 20 yards.

Last week in New Orleans, he was on the field for 14 offensive and didn’t catch a pass with Drake Maye throwing it his way twice.

Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, during his Thursday press briefing, still believes Williams will make some hay before season’s end.

He just hasn’t been able to take advantage of the few opportunities he’s been given to be productive, stats-wise anyway.
