Dismissing reports of internal tussle over seat-sharing within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that while each party must consider its own support base, all allies understand the importance of pragmatism and past performance in ticket distribution.

Speaking exclusively to India Today TV, Shah said, "Once the numbers are decided, it’s normal for there to be intense debate over who contests which seat, because every party wants the best possible constituency for itself."
