Novak Djokovic apologised to fans at the Six Kings Slam after he was thrashed in straight sets by Jannik Sinner.

Djokovic has not beaten Sinner since the end of the 2023 season, losing all of their last eight meetings.

And his latest heavy loss has led to him admitting that it was like playing against 'a runaway train'.

The 38-year-old also sent a humour-filled apology to the crowd in Riyadh for the game not lasting very long.

"I'm sorry you couldn't see a longer match today, it's his fault, not my fault!” Djokovic laughed in his on-court interview.
