Nothing is official. But it appears we’re getting Carson Wentz vs. the Eagles this weekend.

Wentz, the Eagles’ ex-franchise quarterback, is likely to start against his former team when Philadelphia faces the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell hasn’t made any announcements. But ESPN’s Kevin Seifert , who covers the Vikings, reported that “Wednesday’s circumstances indicated” Wentz will start.

Wentz has filled in for injured starter J.J. McCarthy the last few games. And while McCarthy is close to returning, he’s still not 100% healthy from a high ankle sprain suffered on Sept. 14.

McCarthy was limited in Wednesday’s practice. Meanwhile, Wentz, who was dealing with a sore shoulder, was listed as a full participant ahead of Sunday’s Week 7 s
