Police are continuing their search for a heartless moped riding thief who targets senior citizens in Queens and Brooklyn.
Cops said the suspect struck last at about 8 p.m. on September 19, when he swooped down on a 65-year-old man walking near Cypress Hills Street and Otto Road in Glendale and swiped silver and gold chains valued at $7,200 off the man’s neck.
The thief, described as 20-25-years old with a medium complexion, sped off on the moped before the victim realized what had happened, an NYPD spokesperson said.
The victim was not injured in the attack.
Police believe the same man is responsible for a similar crime in Brooklyn on September 18, where he made off with a $1,000 chain from a 70-year-old man, the spokesperson said.
