For all intents and purposes, the primary calling card of Anemone is the chance to see Daniel Day-Lewis back in a starring role. Or in any role for that matter, being that the revered British thespian (who some regard as the world’s greatest living actor) called it a career in 2017 after appearing in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Phantom Thread. Taking into account that he had already done that once before in the late ‘90s, only to have Martin Scorsese pull him out of retirement for 2002’s Gangs of New York, it is not entirely a surprise to see Day-Lewis have a change of heart once more.
This time, however, it is not the calling of an esteemed auteur that has brought him back into the limelight, but rather, the opportunity to collaborate with his son, Ronan Day-Lewis, on hi
